Don’t miss the bus, thought the pilot of a #A310-300 and stopped directly on top of it!
Throwback – In 2015 an #Airbus A310-300 failed to stop on the stand, about 30 meters past the stand broke through a concrete barrier topped by a railing causing the nose gear to collapse, the nose fell onto the roof of a bus driving along the road underneath. No injuries occurred!
The aircraft was lifted with a crane and KUNZ Lifting Sling CAT III, the nose gear was replaced by the KUNZ Recovery Trailer and the 12t Fuselage Transition. Towing performed with the help of the KUNZ AETS Debogging Kit in the backward direction.
